Workshop
effective allyship
This workshop focuses on leveraging allyship to amplify marginalized voices, including communities of color, women, people who are queer, and people who are transgender. Though discussion-based, the session also features multiple activities and practice in smaller groups.
Primary objective: Participants learn how to define “allyship” and identify concrete ways to support and amplify marginalized voices.
Secondary objective: Participants practice skills for being an effective ally within professional work environments.
Tertiary objective: Participants learn best practices from multiple industries, and explore establishing various types of affinity groups.
